AU PAIR IN SPAIN 



We are pleased that you are interested in becoming an Au pair in Spain! As an Au pair in Spain you will have the opportunity to not only experience a different culture but to travel throughout Spain making new friends and unforgettable memories. Our au pairs in Spain provide standard childcare and in most cases speak English at all times with the children. In return you will receive free room and board and a weekly allowance. Although standard childcare is very important, most of our families want their children to speak English.

Pre-Requisites to be an Au pair

Must be between the ages of 18-31

Completely fill out the Application/Agreement and provide all documents required.

Agree to sign the Commitment Agreement form for what ever option stay you choose.

Speak a basic level of Spanish.

Enjoy spending time with children and have the skills and experience to take care of them.

Be responsible, committed, open minded, flexible, and have a positive attitude.

English is your primary language.

 

Options for your stay:


Type of Au pair – Hours – Weekly Pay

.-Regular Au pair 5hr/5Days + 1 Night Babysitting minimum 80.00Euros

.-Au pair Plus 8/5Days + 1 Night Babysitting minimum 120.00Euros

You can choose to stay for durations of 3 months (usually Summer), 6 months, or 1 year.  In all cases you must stay the duration unless there is a problem in your home at which point you will be reassigned.

We look after our host families year after year, we know the families well and this ensures successful placements for our applicants.

We are looking for open-minded, flexible, mature Au Pairs who have a positive attitude and like caring for children.  Other experiences like First Aid training, girl/oy scouts, music, dance, sports, arts & crafts, experience working at a pre-school are examples of skills that would contribute to  your children abilities and will strengthen your application.


If you are a recent ESOL, ESL or TESL graduate, au pairing in Spain in an excellent way to get some English as a Second or Other Language experience.  Both the family and AupairIdiomas will be happy to provide you with a reference after you finish your stay in Spain.

Support

Once you submit your registration, along with the required documents, we will guide you to the next steps of the placement process. We will also arrange a Zoom interview to meet you, before arranging any interviews with the families.
 
Also, we will offer you continuous support throughout your placement in Spain. You can contact us by email/phone when you need our advice.

 We provide a 24 hour contact number, in case of emergency. You will also receive regularly information about other au pairs in Spain and important cultural events.  You will also have the chance to attend to a Spanish course if desired.
